About

Teaching has been my passion since I was a child playing “school”! Having grown up near Montreal, I have the advantage of being familiar with both English and French cultures and of having learned both languages in school.

I received my Bachelor of Arts in English from Carleton University and my Bachelor of Education from Queen’s University. I am a member of the Ontario College of Teachers and am qualified to teach English and French to grades 4 - 10.

I have taught at several private schools since my graduation and have over 30 years experience in teaching French from JK to grade 8 as well as extensive experience teaching English, history, geography, math and many other subjects. I have tutored students at the elementary level as well as high schoolers. Some of my students have had learning disabilities and some students had mother tongues other than English.

During my teaching career, I was usually the only French teacher in the school, therefore I was responsible for investigating, selecting, recommending and implementing programs. I have a plethora of teaching resources on hand.
