Why Online Private Tutoring?

A student feels most at ease and free to express ideas at home. The home environment is familiar and comfortable, which promotes confidence and creativity. There are fewer distractions and no need to feel "put on the spot". My goal is to reduce your stress regarding your child's educational needs, but also to free you from having to drive to yet another activity!

Online sessions allow flexibility in the timing of the lessons. Parents or guardians can be near by to hear the student's progress. With the many advantages of technology, materials such as videos, reading materials or activity sheets can be shared and manipulated by either the tutor or the student. I find that my students are very much engaged.

Schedule:

One session per week is necessary to establish routine, keep students on track and develop strategies to achieve success. Depending on your child's needs, I may be willing to meet twice a week. Book near the beginning of the school year to reserve the most convenient time for you. Book your summer sessions in May or early June.

Rates:

For each session, I will either prepare a lesson specific to your child's needs and/or assist with any assignments brought to the session. I recommend starting primary students with half-hour sessions, and older students with one-hour sessions.

Currently, rates are as follows:

$35 per half hour

$45 per forty-five minutes

$55 per hour

I require advance payment by e-transfer or cheque at the beginning of the month.
